Yes, there absolutely is a noticable difference in image depth between the two digital bodies. But just as the 5D mkI might be hard to beat in price/quality, so does the GF2 excell in size+weight/quality. And it is rather easy to use with a vintage manual focus lens. The Olympus EPx/Lumix GFx group is IMO where digital comes close to film in a similar fysical package, still leaving price and black&white out of the equation. The best camera is the one you have with you...
